You certainly know by now how busy we had been during last fashion week in Paris! But with the next one just around the corner and some plans for more inspiring meetings already in the pocket, we would like to invite you to Paris for two weeks a row, so closing this cycle and making room for a new ride! This time we shared some walk and talk with Lisa Burestad, a cool girl from Sweden, and got to discover a little more about the country that fascinates us for its design and way of life! Enjoy this feature and Lisa’s tips!

Thanks for meeting us, Lisa! Coming yourself straight of ouf Stockholm, what’s the best about growing up in Sweden?

In my eyes, the best part of growing up in Sweden is the freedom. The freedom to do whatever you desire to do.

Do you have any favorite spots in Stockholm?

One of my favorite spots in Stockholm is a place called Humlegården, it’s a perfect place to just hang out and have a good time with your friends on a nice Summer day. Another favorite is Slussen where you can find secondhand shops and other really nice stores.

Swedish fashion has been growing strong on the international parquet, what do you feel is so special about it? Is there a designer or brand you particularly like? Or one hot tip on the latest trends in Sweden?

The thing I feel is special about Swedish fashion is that it can be very out of the box, if you know what I mean. People are not afraid to stand out and really express themselves. I really like Ida Sjöstedt’s designs, her clothes always make you feel beautiful. Then I also really like Whyred, I have a white bomber jacket from them and it’s one of my favorite pieces in my closet.

We have been strolling around the Enfants-Rouges in Marais with its many little shops. What do you actually go shopping for when you are abroad?

Usually things that I can’t find at home. It can be everything from clothes to little souvenirs. I love to go for secondhand shops and get really cool and unique pieces, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like to treat myself with a more expensive designer piece every once in a while when I’m away.

Of all the places you have been to, which one did impress you the most and why?

I would have to say Tokyo! Just because it’s so different from Sweden, the people, the culture, the food, well yeah basically everything. I would love to go back!

What is that you can’t live without?

My friends and family, they always give me the best support.

Is there something about you that people would never expect?

Tough question.. Maybe that when I was younger I was a rocker chick, I used to have purple/black hair, rivet belts and everything, haha.

If you had the chance to plan a perfect day in your life, how would you schedule it?

If I had the chance to plan a perfect day, I wouldn’t really plan it that much. Just surround myself with the people I love and see what happens because the most perfect things come unexpected.
